Accommodation

Accommodation

UPEC can propose rooms in public student residences to international students. However, the accommodation capacities for international students are extremely limited in student residences in Paris region.

That is why we advise you to apply as much as you can for the private dormitories as for example:
www.ciup.fr ; www.adele.org ; www.fac-habitat.com ; www.clubetudiant.com ;
https://www.arpej.fr ; www.fac-habitat.com ; https://www.aljt.com/en/

You can also find a room or a flat owned by a private landlord by having a look on the flat advertisements on: https://www.pap.fr / https://www.leboncoin.fr/recherche/?category=10&region=12&owner_type=private

The UPEC Department for accommodation related matters will provide you with assistance upon your arrival, in case you did not find any accommodation before the beginning of your study period at UPEC. This department being in constant liaison with private flat owners will propose you a room in a private flat or in a shared-flat.

The cost of living being higher in Paris and its region rather than elsewhere in France, it is necessary to point out that the average monthly rent for a room in a shared flat is of 500 Euros and for a private flat of 750 euros.

For your information, you will be eligible to the state allowance for housing, the so-called « APL », that can significantly reduce the amount of your monthly rent (about 100-150 Euros).
