University Paris-Est Créteil


The University Paris-Est Créteil – UPEC-  is the largest multidisciplinary university in Paris Region, with successful high-education and research institutions. Since its foundation in 1970, UPEC has managed to establish itself both as a regionally-grounded institution and an internationally-oriented university. The university houses 32 research centres and 17 faculties, schools and institutes, representing 35,000 students and 1,600 professors and researchers, representing a strong potential in undertaking innovative research projects with academic, industrial and private partners.
UPEC Faculty of Sciences and Technology is the most important faculty of the University Paris-Est Créteil regarding the number of students (3 500) and of academic staff (350). It proposes study programs at all levels in various scientific fields: Chemistry, Earth and Life Science, Physics, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering sciences and Mathematics. 8 renowned research laboratories in the above-mentioned fields and a research centre dedicated to space sciences are hosted by the Faculty.
UPEC Faculty of Sciences and Technology actively participates in international study and research programs: Students, professors, researchers and administrative staffs are involved in the international activities thanks to more than 150 partnership agreements signed with universities abroad.
